The G-Form Knee Pad provides form fitting protection for all day excursions out on the trails. G-Form uses RPT™ - Reactive Protection Technology, a blend of Poron® XRD™ and proprietary G-Form materials and technology. RPT give you a protective material that is progressive, meaning it gets tougher as the impact increases. It will also keep protecting you after repeated impacts without losing any of its protective qualities.
RPT Technology in the G-Form Knee Pad also keeps the pad light and comfortable and protects your knee on rides where you may not want downhill type protection that may be too bulky. The protective exo-skeleton is hinged to remain flexible and not restrict movement. The protective element is attached to a compression fabric in order to keep it close to the body to insure that your protection does not move away from your key areas. The G-Form Knee Pads can be worn in warm or cold weather, on top or underneath clothing.

These pads are awesome. I bought them after a crash which chipped my kneecap (for those reading out there, try to avoid this injury; its extremely painful for many months). I bought them to wear as a way to protect my knee from minor bumps on the trail; they are so comfortable I now wear them all of the time. They don't protect quite like hard plastic pads, if you grab ground you'll still feel it, but I've never had a problem getting up and riding again.
As far as fit, I sized these as per the GForm website and will stay in place for hours. I haven't had any problems with discomfort caused by material bunching,
They cover a large portion of the knee (wrap around) and shim which is really nice. I'm not sure if they extend low enough to protect against platform pedal strikes. They are long enough that I've notices most trail brambles and other brush don't scratch me much now.
The material might be a little bit warm for some people. I've worm them on multiple hour rides in 95F weather and haven't had any problems, but I like heat so your mileage might vary.
BTW: Mine are black and much more discrete than the yellow pads.
Summary: Awesome knee pads for all day pedaling!

These were the third pair of kneepads I've purchased. Tired of the hot, bulky, hard shells, I was looking forward to something smaller and was willing to trade off some of the impact protection I thought I might lose in favor of something more wearable. On my second ride I was climbing a rocky area and fell into a mountain laurel shrub. It was painful but I didn't realize anything was amiss until I got home two hours later and discovered the branch had punctured my pad. I pulled a quarter inch of foam out of my knee and had to go in for a tetanus shot and 3 stitches.
Since then I have healed up and still use them, albeit more cautiously. I wrote to the company because I was concerned that the puncture affected the integrity of the foam cell. I never heard from them. I also wonder how well the rubber around the foam will hold up as the pads get acquainted with the local rock gardens.
I've also washed them to get rid of the blood and have discovered a pin-sized hole in another cell. I can't say for certain that it was caused by another crash or the wash.
I still wear the pads because they are sooo light compared to my other pads, which are just dreadful in the summer heat. This is also my second season. I'm hoping I've graduated to a somewhat lighter pad. I would not recommend these pads for someone just starting out if there are a lot of rock gardens or random branches.
I may still buy these again if they last as long as my other pads did and they offer me decent protection on the rocks.

Comments about G-Form Knee Pads:
I bought these for a mtn bike trip to Sedona AZ. They are super light weight and don't take up a ton of luggage space. They performed as promised, absorbing mostly everything. They are great for light to medium duty, but wouldn't expect them to handle the big falls. The fit was astonishingly comfortable, as if there was nothing there until you needed them. Only critique is that one of the padded 'cells', along with some material ripped open on a 'skid' fall with knee dragging. This is expected - better the pad than my knee! They are still usable and dependable.

Comments about G-Form Knee Pads:
I saw another rider in my local area riding with knee and elbows on during a XC ride. I asked him about them and he liked them. So I thought I would give them a try, especially at the price Jenson is selling them for. They work well. The disposition of energy throughout the pad is cool. Draw back of my riding area is it is rocky (sharp rocks). Though these pads save the skin, they will shred some. I went on a freezing MTB ride not to long ago and forgot my leggings to keep warm. So I used these in place and the pads worked very well shielding the wind. My only "blah" about the pads is, when the top gripper slides down (not a lot) it naturally binds behind the knee. It would be a smart move on G-form to redesign the back of the knee with less material.

Comments about G-Form Knee Pads:
Good pad for pedaling, you truely forget that they are on. Would give 5 stars but after 4 rides I have a hole in the material on one of the sleeves, hoping it does not grow and become an issue.
Careful on sizing, I measured to be an XL and found them to be loose, so I returned them and went down a size.

Comments about G-Form Knee Pads:
These are great for rides with a lot of pedaling, but where you still want protection. These aren't nearly as good as a hard shell pad, but then again, their design intent was to be comfortable while providing protection. You can put them on at the beginning of a ride, and you'll soon forget they're even on. The fabric part wicks away sweat well. I had a few low speed falls while negotiating rocky and loose terrain, and the padding was covered in dirt when I got up, but my knees were unhurt. They did their job.

These just arrived today and I haven't got a chance to try them out yet, but I really like the way they fit. I hardly even notice them when wearing them and they are much lighter than I expected.

Comments about G-Form Knee Pads:
Great knee pads. Light weight and barely noticeable when riding. I've taken a few smaller falls, and they held up well and provided solid protection. The material has held up very well (have had them for about a year). Fully recommend these pads.

Comments about G-Form Knee Pads:
These are the most light and well ventilated pads I've ever owned. I sometimes just put them on and ride uphill instead of putting them on when I get to the top. I've had one OTB with them on and everything worked as expected. I wouldn't use them for FR/DH and they will slip if you go over a certain speed. But which pad doesn't.
