The G-Form Shin Pads provide form fitting protection for all day excursions out on the trails. G-Form uses RPT™ - Reactive Protection Technology, a blend of Poron® XRD™ and proprietary G-Form materials and technology. RPT give you a protective material that is progressive, meaning it gets tougher as the impact increases. It will also keep protecting you after repeated impacts without losing any of its protective qualities.

RPT Technology in the G-Form Shin Guard also keeps the guard light and comfortable. The protective exo-skeleton is hinged to remain flexible and not restrict movement. The protective element is attached to a compression fabric in order to keep it close to the body to insure that your protection does not move away from your key areas. The G-Form Shin Guards can be worn in warm or cold weather, on top or underneath clothing.

    Comments about G-Form Shin Pads:

    These are okay shin guards.

    THE GOOD
    - Easy to get on and off
    - Comfortable. Forget about them while riding
    - Stay in place while riding (and crashing)

    THE BAD
    - Terrible stitching. Stitching started coming undone during first ride. Expect to have to do some stitching yourself.
    - Not very protective. Only wear them to prevent pedal bites and as leg warmers when cold. Do not expect them to protect you in a serious crash.

OVERALL: Good shin guard if you are more concerned with comfort than protection. Wont stand up to even a moderate impact but can protect against your pedal pins if you ride flats. Stitching will always be a problem with these pads.

      Comments about G-Form Shin Pads:

I've been riding with these for a few weeks and wasn't sure how much it was going to help until yesterday when I lost my footing on my Deity metal-pinned pedals, and the other foot kicked with full force to spin the pedal back and it just whacked me in the shin HARD. No damage to shin :) Very happy I invested in these.

They're very light weight and they slide on great. I haven't had any issues with them sliding off. I went with an x-large and it fits great. It's possible I could have maybe gotten a large. I'm 5'9 160 lbs.

          Comments about G-Form Shin Pads:

These seem like decent shin guards. They are comfortable to wear in cool weather, but the pad does not breath, so it hot weather they are not as nice. They do stay in place quite nicely. I haven't whacked my shins since I've had them, so I can's say how well they'll work against an impact.

          Comments about G-Form Shin Pads:

My wife literally fell off cliff in Sedona wearing these today (HiLine Trail). Knees and shins are unblemished, but she wasn't wearing elbows and is pretty banged up there. Minor tear in one shin pad is the damage to these pads. Can't fault them.

            Comments about G-Form Shin Pads:

I purchased a pair of these for my wife who has a knack for receiving pedal whacks to the shin. So far they've worked out great. They are so light and comfortable that she doesn't even take them off in the car. No issues staying on during heavy pedaling either. She's 5'3, 115 lbs and the small is a good fit.

I wouldn't use these for downhill. Not heavy or sturdy enough. But for the purpose of providing some light shin protection for all-mountain or XC riding they are fantastic. And since the latter is what they were purchased for, 5 stars.

              Comments about G-Form Shin Pads:

Hard to pull out. Light but pricy. I will probably like them the day the pedal will spin back and kiss my shin. The rubber is a bit thin but quite spongy. Buy if in special. Not for all mountain in my honest opinion.
