GT Bikes Fury Elite Bike 2014

Since day one GT has been no stranger to downhill racing success due to their longstanding position as the leader of Downhill technology. Rachel and Gee Atherton proved this as they took a double World Cup victory at Fort William, which only points out one of the more recent successes. There were many more before, and will be many more to come. GT has made an addition to their family with the Fury Alloy series, which greatly broadens GT’s spectrum of Downhill bikes while integrating the latest Downhill technology to prove why GT is still ahead.

The GT Fury Elite is an easy-handling, bombproof, downhill wrecker! The 2014 Fury frame features a GT's COR Downhill Design 6061-T6 construction with 220mm of travel and GT's signature Independent Drivetrain™ suspension system with forged pivots, promising an invigorating combination of rollover ability and agility. You’ll ooze confidence when riding the RockShox Domain R fork with 200mm of travel (adjustable rebound) and a 20mm thru-axle for maximum strength and stiffness. In the rear the Fury employs a Fox Van R shock with adjustable rebound. Bumps? What bumps?

Since downhill riding can be unforgiving, GT knows there can be zero compromise on quality components. This is why GT equipped the Fury Elite with a budget-friendly yet race-ready SRAM X5 rear derailleur and shifter with X-Glide shifting that will take you to the next level. The wheels on this bad boy are built using Jalco DD30 rims, All Terra alloy sealed bearings hubs, and DT Swiss Factory stainless spokes to provide unparalleled durability that can withstand high-speed impact. Riding a bike under the mercy of gravity requires the best stopping power. Avid Code R hydraulic disc brakes are utilized for comfort, control and reliability. Whether you're dusting the competition in a weekend race or doing shuttle runs at your local bike park, the Fury Elite is suited for pure enjoyment!

Comments about GT Bicycles GT Bikes Fury Elite Bike 2014:

Just rode a brand new 2014 GT FURY ELITE at The Canyons in Park City. This was actually my first DH day of the season and first day in that bike park.

This bike rips, felt super solid right out the gate and by my third run I felt confident to let it run unchecked... it felt better and better the faster it went handling anything on the trail with out any awkward moments.

The Rockshock Domain forks were functional but felt dead compared to the FOX 40 I'm used to. I would upgrade those ASAP.

Comments about GT Bicycles GT Bikes Fury Elite Bike 2014:

So I can't say much for the components that come on the bike since I basically bought it for the frame only. But this frame is RAD! It just wants to go fast, point this thing downhill and it rips. Pedaling is pretty darn good for a bike with 220mm of travel. The build quality of this frame is top notch and the rear end is extremly stiff.

Buy this bike and go rip up your local DH track!
