GT Fury Elite Bike 2016

GT Fury Elite Bike

Unleash

GT’s iconic Fury line is put to the test by riders like Tyler McCaul and Wyn Masters in some of the toughest World Cup tracks and gnarliest backcountry freeride zones. With a 6061 T-6 Alloy frame, it features forged linkage with an independent drivetrain system. A stiff front triangle is met with a low bottom bracket and a short chainstay to deliver a sturdy bike with snappy handling. Put it to a test of your own, you won’t be disappointed.

A Rockshox Domain fork, and a Fox Van R shock offer 200mm and 210mm of velvety smooth travel respectively. The SRAM drivetrain is fitted with an 11-28t cassette and a KMC chain, giving it tight, precise shifting on a wide range of bike parks and DH trails. Low and wide, the oversized Kore handlebars put you in prime attack position, giving you confidence in the cockpit. 27.5” Maxxis High Roller tires offer great traction and little rolling resistance. Finally, the popular Silverado Sport saddle sits up top, giving you a light and comfortable place to sit.

Features

  • FSA cranks and bb fitted with a 36t chainring, giving you power with each pedal stroke
  • Plush suspension Via Rockshox and Fox get you easily through even the roughest sections
  • Kore cockpit sits low and stable, with a 800mm wide bars, giving you optimal control
  • Maxxis High Roller tires roll fast and grip well, with little rotating weight
  • SRAM drivetrain delivers precise shifting with a 9-speed cassette

Happy with the bike. This is not for cross country trail riding and climbing. I can't stress it enough to the uninitiated. Stiff framset, nicely adjustable suspension, sure footed and confidence inspiring.

It is an enjoyable ride the way eat eats big bumps and keeps on track. Sturdy stiffness the feeds confidence setting the turn through the big stuff or lining up the gap.

My complaint is that I nearly LOST the bike. It was shipped in two packages with two separate tracking numbers. Only ONE tracking number was provided with NO notification of the second. Only the box with the wheelset was delivered. Luckily, as I was talking to the postmaster on the phone she happened to turn and see it.
