Prices shown in currencies other than USA Dollars are estimates based on current exchange rates. We will charge your credit card in USA Dollars on the day your order is shipped, and the conversion to your local currency will be done at the prevailing rate by your credit card issuer.
Shipments outside the USA are declared as “bike parts” for customs purposes and will include the actual amount paid for merchandise and shipping. Jenson USA will not mark your parcel as a “gift”, declare a value lower than the actual price paid, or otherwise prepare false customs information.
With varying price ranges and a plethora of different options, delving into the world of power meters can be both intimidating and confusing. Power meters come in the form of hubs, cranks, and pedals. Power hubs and cranks call for a more involved installation and are restricted by more compatibility requirements such as gear counts, bottom bracket types, spoke holes, and so on, while the Garmin Vector 2S Power Meter pedals are as simple as installing any other pedal, and will fit just about any bike with little to no modifications required.
Once you’ve taken a few minutes for installation, it’s time to throw a leg over, snap in, and let the Vector 2S take it from there. By measuring the power at the pedal, where the force is applied, the Vector 2S takes a more precise measurement that delivers reliable, accurate data. As a single sensing system, force is measured on the left pedal to approximate total power.
The Vector operates by measuring the deflection in the pedal spindle as you pedal. By comparing that measured deflection to a factory calibration, the Vector 2S can determine how much force you’re applying to the pedal throughout the full rotation by taking measurements a few hundred times per second. Additionally, built-in accelerometers also measure pedaling cadence. The force sensor its electronics are strategically secured and sealed inside the left pedal spindle.
Through Ant+ wireless protocol, the Vector S sends data to compatible devices such as the Garmin Edge 500, 510, 800, 810, 1000, or the Forerunner 910XT, allowing it to be saved, shared, and analyzed. With more crankarm clearance (in both thickness and width), the Vector 2S can fit almost any bike. The standard pods accommodates arms 12-15mm thick and 44mm wide, while the large pods fit arms15-18mm thick and 44mm wide.
Whether you’re a first time power meter buyer or looking to try something different, the Vector 2S is all about providing the necessary data while being easy to buy, install, and own.
Note: The Vector 2S system includes the left pedal with the embedded power meter, a right pedal without a sensor, a pedal pod and the related hardware. The Vector 2S can be upgraded to a dual-sensing system that measures direct left/right accuracy, left/right balance data, and more, by simply purchasing the upgrade right pedal separately.
