Comments about Geax Dhea TNT Wire Bead Tire:
I bought these simple to be the widest tires I could fit on my Giant STP in an effort to get a bit of 'fat bike float.' Though that didn't pan out, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these tires (these were my first time buying Geax). Set up split tube ghetto on Mavic 325's without a hitch (some burping first day but none since); though I did need a compressor to do it.
As expected, they are heavy and don't roll that great but grip is very good. They also look to be very durable, which is a big selling point for me being that I live in the high desert (i.e. sharp rocks) of Arizona. Sidewalls appear tough. I needed to play with the air pressure a bit to get good traction on gravely sand over hardpack conditions. I'm at mid/high 20's now for psi.
This review is for trail riding/trialsy stuff in rough, rocky, sandy conditions where having reliable components is more important that having the lightest components.
