Stepping into the light of road performance foot wear, Giant Bicycles introduces their Surge Shoes. Laying down the foundation for an elite level road shoe, the Surge employs the unique composite sole ExoBeam technology which combines stiffness in the forefoot, where most of a rider's power is applied, with strategically engineered flex to reduce tension and strain in the lower leg. This produces an insanely stable launch pad that transfers power in a hurry. Working in conjunction with the ExoBeam sole is the ExoWrap 360-degree foot enclosure that optimizes foot support by suspending up the arch to help improve power transfer, comfort and efficiency. Additionally, the award-winning Boa closure system makes quick and simple to dial in the perfect fit without the added weight and hassles of other closure systems.

As for the Surge's exterior, a Microfiber synthetic upper offers comfortable support at an exceptionally low weight, while conforming to nearly every foot type. A removable dual-density EVA insole with forefoot ventilation features TransTextura Plus antimicrobial technology to keep air efficiently flowing throughout the shoe for a natural cooling effect. At the bottom of the shoe, Giant has tactically placed injection-molded TPU elements in both the heel and toe help protect the carbon ExoBeam plate from wear while off the bike.
