Giro's first Air Attack™ was a revelation in styling and performance for riders concerned with aerodynamic performance; from road to track to triathlons, and even at your next cyclocross event. Designed without a "tail" off the back this helmet is comfortable in mass start events where a typical TT helmet could be cumbersome. Inspired by the original, the new generation Air Attack™ Shield fine-tunes the design for a lightweight, compact and extremely efficient aerodynamic shape that slices through air and features a magnetically fastened eye shield for wraparound eye protection that's easy to remove during pre-race or warm-up. Add in the comfort, adjustability and enhanced airflow of the Roc Loc® Air system, and the Air Attack™ Shield re-imagines what your helmet can be.

The In-Mold construction process fuses the helmet's outer shell with its impact-absorbing EPS liner during the molding process, making the liner literally a part of the helmet. This process reinforces areas around vents and ribs, creating a one-piece exoskeleton that allows the helmet to be lighter, more durable, and better ventilated than traditional designs. The proprietary Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system, combines active vents with internal exhaust channels that thrust cool, fresh air over and around the rider's head-while forcing heat and stale air out. The significant increase in air ventilation gives you an advantage on tough climbs and when the weather gets hot. The Roc Loc® Air system enhances comfort and stability while adding a new dimension to ventilation and cooling. With a unique design that suspends the helmet slightly above the head, it creates an optimized path for air to flow through the helmet with a Venturi effect that increases efficiency of the vents and internal ventilation channels. Like the acclaimed Roc Loc®5, it also offers micro-adjustable tensioning and vertical positioning adjustments, so you can fine-tune the fit and tilt on the fly with one hand.
