Smoking deal for these shoes. Bought these for my CX bike since my mtb clips were just too bulky.

Excellent Shoes for all day comfort
I'm loving this shoes. They are really comfortable, the sole has very good grip for hike a bikes, and are very easy to put on. I love how they look as well. Comfort wise, they have very good padding on the rear and have descent protection against impacts of roots and trees.

Ligeros y ajuste exacto
Mi talla es 8.5 (41.5), y el zapato se ajusta perfecto a mi pie. Se sienten ligeros y muy frescos. La planta de carbón si hace diferencia en cada pedala.

Little break in required.
I believe them to be true to size with my narrow feet. Required little break in. My first ride with them was 107miles and had no issues.

Zero complaints so far
They run true to size, IMO. The outsole is great for walking.

Value cannot be beat at the sale price.

The swappable inserts turned out to be great. The high arch insert really made a huge difference in providing some biofeedback.

One tiny little wrinkle on set-up. It will seem like the plate can't be positioned at first. But once the cleat is partially screwed in, you'll be able to adjust the plate. Not sure if that's design feature or just because of new shoe. Anyway, don't freak out if you have trouble moving it at first.

Great deal, comfortable
My second pair of clipless shoes and a big improvement from my original entry level Giro Carbides. The biggest improvement is probably from being narrower which makes better fit for my feet, but also from nice things like ratcheting buckle and adjustable arch support (I had to buy insoles for Carbides - doesn't appear necessary with these). After adjusting the cleats shoes are comfortable right away, also good for walking despite stiffer carbon sole (Vibram helps).

I would consider the fit a bit small - I am usually 10 but sometimes 9.5 in regular shoes which would indicate 43.5 - was between that and 44 and ordered 43.5 first - had to ship back and get 44 which fit well.

Good stiff shoe
Good shoe but they run a little small in width and I would order a half size up.

Fit: good heel hold, moderate rocker to the sole, average width, average to low volume, shorter than average for the size (i.e. buy it a little larger than you would with other brands). The adjustable arch height of the insoles is nice.

Sole: Not as sticky as I had hoped. Better than the nylon material often used for race shoe soles, but not nearly as good as you might expect from a name-brand rubber sole. At least the durability seems decent. Shimano cleat becomes rather exposed if moved rearward (i.e. you'll be walking on the cleat, compromising traction).

Durability: Still in good shape after almost a year.

What pedals work best with this shoe?
Shane L on Jan 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Pedals are pretty much a personal preference. There's lots of opinions on who makes the best pedal.

Personally, I prefer the Shimano SPD design. The Shimano cleat fits the shoes nicely. The SPD pedals are "nicer" to the shoe than some of the other pedals which recommend a metal plate to protect carbon fiber soles.

Check out the Shimano PD-M8000. This is an XT level pedal for a great price and Jenson.

Are shoes true to size?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They feel that way for me. I wear a 10.5 US size. I purchased the 44 Euro size and it fits perfectly.

My road shoes are Shimano which are narrower in the toe-box/mid foot than these. My prior Mt. bike shoes are Specialized which are larger in the toe box/mid foot area.

The shoes have a supple upper and the Vibram sole has more cushion than my Specialized shoes. The sole is rigid with little flex, which is what you want out of a biking shoe.
