In-Form fit system is important for safety in the event of falling backward on the trail. The In-Form system cradles the back of the head and the adjustability conforms to a variety of head shapes very easily.

Comments about Giro Feature Helmet '12:
chin strap needs to be adjusted often. my head size was borderline med/large, should've got a large. still a nice comfortable helmet with good protection.

Comments about Giro Feature Helmet '12:
Great helmet with good coverage at the back of the head. Giro did away with the irritating clips on the chin staps (sewed them instead) and I'm absolutely ecstatic about it. Been a Giro fan for years due to how they fit my head; this helmet is another step up. If Giro's fit your head, F-et.al. buy it.

Comments about Giro Feature Helmet '12:
Helmet is much lighter that in looks.
While the dial to adjust the fit on the back of the helmet is very good, the chin straps are not as adjustable as other giro helmets.
Visor is a little small.
Much better venting compared to other all-mountain/ trail helmets.

Comments about Giro Feature Helmet '12:
Good solid helmet. A little on the heavier side. Sits comfortable. The way the vents are built any head sweet drains rite into your face unless your moving at a steady forward pace

Comments about Giro Feature Helmet '12:
Good coverage and looks. quality construction. I was exactly in between a medium and large. I got Large, and I have the in-helmet adjustments set to as small as possible and it fits well. I wear this helmet when not wearing a full face. I was OK with trading coverage for venting. I have to wipe my forehead sweat a lot with this helmet. Giro, include a sweat strip for the front of this helmet and allow the "triangle" straps to adjust, they feel OK for me. As is, only the lenght of the chin strap is adjustable. A very good helmet for the All Mountain segment that emphasizes safety over weight and breathability.

Giro Feature helmet saves my wife's life... accident happen during our regular MTB ride two weeks ago on a rocky trail here in Dubai, UAE.. she fell down on a cliff 1.5 meter high and crashed on a rocky grounds.. dents and scratches on the left side of the helmet and my wife's head has been protected, no head injury except for the bruises on her body part.. Thank god she is wearing her newly bought Giro Feature Helmet...

Comments about Giro Feature Helmet '12:
As a rider who is prone to falling off his bike, I love the Feature for its deep back coverage. It's super light weight (at least compared to my last helmet, a skate lid) and (I think) it looks good. The vents are not huge and thus don't move heat away from the head as well as full-on XC lids, but I'd trade the extra coverage for more sweat. The fit system feels great and really makes me feel like my head is sitting deep in the helmet, rather than just below.
The chin straps seem a little thin/abrasive for my liking. The helmet could come with a few more pads for sizing options, and its looks are polarizing, but overall it's a great choice for any style of riding short of needing a full face.
