Giro knows this, and that is why they have made the new Silo Helmet. Featuring the exclusive E-PLA liner that is made from plant biomass, E-PLA has a lower environmental burden than traditional EPS foam, yet it performs like EPS when protecting from impacts. When it comes time to replace the Silo, you can disassemble the components for recycling and composting. You get all the style and performance you would expect from Giro, while reducing the impact on the environment.
