With the introduction of the Terraduro MTB shoe, Giro has created an all-mountain shoe that breaks the mold of traditional trail shoes. Many trail shoes are based on XC racing performance, but the Terraduro attempts to encompass the versatility found in all-mountain riding. The Terraduro is built around a stout nylon shank that provides the rigid pedaling platform found in pro XC shoes, but Giro takes the design a step further with a grippy Vibram rubber outsole with plenty of tacky grip for scrambling over rocks and logs. A slim, micro-adjustable buckle and two-strap closure ensure a fine-tuned and secure fit and a reinforced toe box offers protection from sudden impacts. This innovative trail shoe is as rugged as the trail ahead!

Used the shoes for mountain biking only. I was riding probably 4-5 times a week. At first I loved the shoes great traction when I had to clip out and walk a very steep section. Purchased in April most expensive shoe I've bought but figured it was worth it. It's now September 1 (4months) and today I noticed the vibram sole was completely worn down and the entire bottom of the shoe was separated from the plate that holds the cleat. Basically the shoes are done for if I walk on something off camber then my foot falls out the side. At this price these things should last longer then 4 months don't buy them.
I bought these on impulse at a local shop when I was going to replace my cleats. My old shoes were Specialized sports all velcro and had 6 yrs of good riding, my foot was moving around in the shoes on descents. These Terraduro fit perfectly and the rachet does a good amount, either the click is right or too tight there is not in between which was my concern. My heel does not slip, and foot does not move in the shoe on steep descents.
This shoe is my main mountain biking shoe. IT provides great comfort and style for a mountain bike shoe. Once clipped in I feel good about my footing within this shoe. Quality and comfort for the price is just right.
I do not wear wide shoes, but the HV version of these shoes fit better if your feet are not super narrow. I wear an 11 in Nike shoes and a 10.5 in other brands. Ordered the 44.5 which is recommended by Giro and it was a bit short and really narrow. Went with a 45 HV and the fit was perfect.
