I've been using these little things for years! They get hot fast, can be placed in small spaces like gloves or pockets, and most importantly, they stay hot for hours (true to the claims). They also couldn't be simpler to use, just take them out, expose them to the air and shake a little bit and they're hot in no time. I've used them inside gloves during running races, on the bench at outdoor hockey games and even for some really cold winter rides, and they always provide reliable heat.
One caution though: they do get very hot (claimed at 135 degrees) so unless it is very very cold, direct skin contact can be painful. They are best layered in gloves or pockets where fabric can be between the heat pack and the skin.
PROS: Reliable Heat, Easy to use, Fits In Clothing, Long Lasting
CONS: Can be too hot
BEST USES: All winter activities, Snowsports, Hiking, Camping, Biking
