Great replacement for older grip shift

Comments about SRAM Shifter Grip Assembly:

Got these to replace the grip assembly from my older SRAM Attack 7.0's, whose rubber had become gummy and worn. These fit just right and installation was pretty easy to do myself. Just followed the instruction manual found on SRAM website. Planning to order a second set for my commuter bike now that I know they do the job.

Comments about SRAM Shifter Grip Assembly:

My original twist grips had worn down smooth and I had to squeeze tight to shift. My hands were getting sore & I wasn't sure why. I installed these and my shifters worked like new again. While I had them apart it was a good chance to clean and lube the shifters.

Is this assembly compatible with 2007 SRAM Attack 9-speed shifters?

          Answering my own question here:
Yes, they work great as a replacement for Attack shifters. I found one reference to their compatibility on some obscure website and took the chance it was right. Thankfully, it was. Was a fairly easy install if you're familiar with grip shift. The left front assembly is a micro adjust shifter (has multiple positions/not a 3 click only shifter). Will be ordering a 2nd set; hoping they will work just as well on my SRAM X-7's that are on my commuter bike. Same situation and need the micro adjust front (only a double chainring) so I should be good.

I also have this question. The rubber grips are permanently attached to the plastic indexing base, so it depends on the front shift assembly - one model is micro indexed, the other has 3 click positions, non-micro. Love my Attack shifters, looking for the micro indexed front grip. Is the left grip micro or not?
