H Plus Son Archetype Rim

The perfect all around road rim. At 470 grams, this rim has proven to be light yet not sacrificing strength, stiffness, and stability. The well accepted 23mm wide profile mimics a tubular tire, where the advantage can be felt immediately while taking corners as the tire is no longer shaped as a light bulb, flopping over with high load. Our impeccable H Plus Son workmanship and our invisible welded rim joint comes standard with each rim.

High quality lightweight rim

At least on par with Velocity A23 rims, not sure about the other 23mm rims. Be careful when building that you don't scratch the middle aero rim edge with your spoke wrench. It may be useful to consider using 14mm spokes. Also beware that the black anodizing will rub off after just a few hard rides - not a huge deal as the brake dust turns them black again

Sturdy, light, and good looking

As advertised, these rims pair really nicely with 23mm tires. They look great and the "build quality" is obvious. They are very light for an alloy rim and they are very durable, remaining true over thousands of miles on bad Inland Empire roads. I had to have the front wheel repaired after it was eaten by a storm-grate about 3,000 miles ago, and it's remained remarkably true despite having been knocked quite far out of shape. I am really grateful to Jenson for recommending them.
