Race Face Atlas Low Rise Handlebar

Race Face Atlas Low Rise Handlebar

Designed for extreme riding, and lookin’ good as the camera flash hits it, the Race Face Atlas sets the standard for freeride/ downhill bars. ¬†At 785mm, this is one of the longest bars Race Face has ever produced. Race Face’s new ultra low and ultra wide riser geometry reduces the cockpit height. The internal taper increases the strength of the bar, so your front end won’t flex.

Technical Specifications:

  • Intended Use: DH/ FR
  • Dimensions: 31" width, 8° backsweep, 4° upsweep
  • Rise: 0.5"
  • Bar Diameter: 31.8mm
  • Weight: 340g

"Nice bars"
I hear a lot of "nice bars dude" but most importantly these bars perform... Look great with my atlas stem too.

Good performance, great looks
I love the look Race Face goes for with their components and these bars are a prime example of that. I have the stealth version and have used it for about 4 yrs now on 2 different builds without any problems. The 8 degree backsweep and 4 degree upsweep equals out to a 9 degree total bend, which is about average for MTB bars. Honestly, I'd like to have 1 more degree of sweep but that's all personal preference. The bars are also not the lightest, but no pig either and you won't have to worry about their toughness.

Race Face Atlas Bars !!
I put these on and went for a quick XC loop above my house that also has some rock rollers, single track, and fun little hits with a good climb and found them to be AMAZING!! I had my STYLO bars that came on my bike and wanted to go wider.... love these bars... stiff, sick looking and they feel awesome just the right sweep and angle not "rotor tiller" if you know what I mean. Buy 'em they helped get rid of some climbing twitch I had with the narrower set-up.

Awesome!
I'm not a super aggressive rider, but wide bar/short stem was a game changer to my downhill confidence. Big bang for your buck and the topo graphics look great.

These bars are great!
I love these bars! I was really excited to see purple Atlas bars because they don't make them anymore! I have the Atlas low-rise bars on almost all of my bikes!

Sweet
I was looking to upgrade my stock Giant bars to a wider pair.
The Atlas is wider, lighter, reportedly stronger and very sweet looking.
I chose the Stealth model, for my charcoal colored 2012 Giant AnthemX 29er.
The Atlas covers all my requirements and then some. On sale to boot, sweet.

My favorite handlebar
This year I got this handlebar ... again.

After riding in Mexico with this, I got this bar in 2011 from other store for my DH bike.
Easy to say, my handling in the downhill bike just got better, easier and hard to go back to smaller sizes. The low profile keeps you down, your gravity center stays down enough for riding. Putting your bike down in the berm is easy and better.

This summer I start to ride AM again, I had to change handlebar right away and stem. The AM riding here has some good downhills for long period, and is not fun if you have limitations. This handlebar gave me the same handling as my DH bike. Giving me a lot of fun.

If you know how to handle it, you can clear trees.
I can't wait to test it in the fat bike.

Awesome bar with lots of colors
I have red ones on my nomad and blue ones on my glory and they look awesome. They are super wide too. I cut them down a little on my nomad but didn't find it necessary to do on my glory. I've crashed pretty hard on them and they got some good scratches in them but no dents or cracks.
