One of the most convenient features of the Hope TECH3 lever is how it integrates with the handlebars. The TECH3 lever features a split clamp design, making it easy to install or remove without having to remove anything else from your bars. Hope takes convenience and simplicity of cockpit organization a step further by designing the TECH3 lever to be directly compatible with any Shimano I-Spec type shifter. For riders who prefer SRAM shifters, a simple direct mount adapter is available.
The one piece E4 caliper is CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy and uses four identical 16mm phenolic pistons which gives more usable power to the brake all while maintaining Hope's signature brake feel.

Only negative thing is, super hard to get pads in Canada. OEM pads are super pricey at Jenson and are only available in semi-metallic and sintered. EBC and Galfer Hope pads are not sold in US or Canada. It would be really helpful if Jenson sold some aftermarket pads for Tech 3 E4.
Also, Mono M4 and E4 pads may look similar in picture, but they are not the same. Mono M4 pads are smaller.

I have had to shorten lines and I hit a tree once and had a line loosen and suck in air. Both times the bleeding went easy as could be. I do have other sets of the Tech line (Tech 2, Tech 2 EVO, Tech 3 X2) and have had very few issues with them. Never had to bleed them or had any issues with power or performance.
The rear brake comes with a very long brake line. I cut the last 2 down 4" and it's almost still too long, but maybe one day they will be on a frame that requires a bit longer line. They are that good that I don't see a reason to buy new ones if I get a new frame or start a new build.

Needless to say, they stop like no other brake out there, and the bite adjust and lever adjust allow you to get the exact modulation you want when you want it.
I have them on my V10, 203 front and rear.

Bleeding is a bit of a PITA, but not like the XT's I used to run. They do use DOT 5 oil which is also a PITA. Issues with the bleeding were just with the reservoir cap doing a good job of finding a way to keep air inside.
I did have my bleed nipple unscrew at one point, but a quick bleed and screwing it in resolved that pretty quickly.
Would be cool if I could buy different color combos on Jenson.

Excellent modulation, intuitive design, and beautiful machine work all done by folks that care.
Just be careful. The rear Tech3/E4 I got had a hose that is WAY too short. We're not talking about a few mm here, but rather 8" (203mm!!). Really guys? At least Shimano cares enough to make their brakes with extra-long hoses, and then includes a furle and other bits to make shortening less painful. Last time I check there isn't a decent hose stretcher available.
The bike I'm putting these on is an Spech. Enduro 29 in the XL variety. It's not a small bike, but 8" off?
I'm 100% sure that Hope customer service in Tx will take care of me, but I would have liked to ride my new brakes this weekend.
