The Hutchinson Fusion 5 is not the next great boy band of our decade. The Fusion 5 is Hutchinson's effort to create harmony between 5 main characteristics that every great tire should possess. Grip, efficiency, durability, puncture resistance, and comfort. These qualities were on the checklist for engineers as they developed this line of tires. HDF-5 rubber compound delivers the grip, durability and speed, while the tubeless compatibilities and polyamide reinforced casing provides puncture resistance and comfort.
The Performance Tubeless version of the Fusion 5 is best suited for the rider looking for the right balance between performance and puncture resistance. They are built with HDF-5.2 compound which offers 1.2mm thick rubber and a Kevlar reinforcement for added puncture resistance and great efficiency.

I've only put about 100 miles on these so I can't comment on wear or longevity. Running them tubeless. Mounting and seating was a breeze. So far I've noticed that they run fairly fast, not the fastest but they aren't Hutchinson's Fusion 5 Galactik version and are supposed to offer a bit more puncture resistance. Puncture resistance seems to be good too, I've taken them through some pretty rough downtown city streets and they've held up fine so far through glass, rocks, potholes, etc. The grip on these tires is exceptional, it actually makes the bike handle noticably different and took some getting used to. I can't say how the grip is while wet since I haven't ridden them in the rain yet. Overall I'd say a great tire so far, I can't say for certain if I'd recommend them over the schwalbe pro one for tubeless although right now it's looking like I might stick with the Hutchinsons. Couldn't go wrong with either choice though
