Ibis' SL-R is the Mojo, rebooted. It shares the name, but really that's about it. Everything here is new. It's like all the best features of the classic Mojo, the SL, and the HD rolled into a single chassis. Amazingly lightweight, and incredibly stiff, this is the foundation of the ultimate trailbike. You may ask yourself, “How did Ibis make something so light and strong?” Well, Ibis has evolved the process of carbon fiber molding which allows the lay-up to be done in one piece, with no joints anywhere. The result is a more precise lay-up that eliminates the need for additional foam or filler to mold the complex shapes. The end product is a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.
The Mojo SL-R comes equipped with the 140mm-travel X-Fusion Velvet RL fork and the O2 RCX rear shock which feature fully adjustable, CNC machined damping cartridges with aluminum knobs. Both pieces (fork and rear) are air-sprung and offer lockout for pedaling skyward, and come with rebound and compression adjustments to allow you to dial into the perfect ride. Trying to find a component group with the versatility, performance and value of Shimano’s SLX would be as impossible as trying to find a needle in a stack of needles. For this, Ibis went with SLX for the front and rear dearilleurs, as well the 3x10 crankset, perfectly complimenting what this machine is all about.
The Ibis Mojo SLR rolls on Stan’s No Tubes ZTR rims swathed with Specialized Ground Control Sport tires. The Stan’s ZTR rim utilizes Bead Socket Technology. At the point of contact where bike meets earth, Ibis has entrusted the Specialized Ground Control Sport for the most swift, grippiest tire for all conditions. Providing the stopping power for this build is the high performing, wallet-friendly Shimano Deore Front and rear disc brakes and brake levers.
The Ibis Mojo SL-R is one fresh lookin' bike, in which all specs have been specially blended for some serious mountain bike fun, at a price that’ll leave you with enough bones to get your new bike rack!
It's not just us, others are saying the X-Fusion RL fork:
"is a good fork for riders who push the limits of traction around every corner and envision every sizable bump in the trail as a kicker."As for the X-Fusion O2 RCX rear shock:
"the RCX is the right fit for experienced riders who push their bikes to the outer edge of the performance envelope"Also,
"its sharp performance earns it an invitation to the high-performance trailbike club"- Richard Cunningham, PinkBike Review
