Ingeniously designed to fit Shimano STI* shifter/brake levers. Pull the rubber brake hood off the lever clip, slip the bell base on the clip and tighten, replace the rubber hood on the base clip. Domes are solid brass - black or chrome plated. Will fit either left or right lever.

Comments about Incredibell Road Bell:
I got this bell because sometimes I just don't like yelling "On your left!" I have a post-2009 STi shifter which, according to their documentation, may or not be compatible with this bell; fortunately my ST-4600s are. It fits perfectly behind the hood covers, however, it does add a layer between the lever and the hood cover so there is no longer a nice clean fit. The documentation is not the clearest, but if you read through it carefully you should be able to mount this properly. Probably the mistake that most people make is they don't understand what the small stud protruding from the clamp is for. You're actually supposed to screw it in with the provided allen key or remove it entirely if your levers don't have a hole underneath the stud.
In terms of operation, the bell actually mostly obscures the little window that shows which gear is selected so you'll need to adjust to that. The little lever that activates the hammer of the bell feels flimsy and seems to require a delicate touch. That's a little hard to do at speed. I'd prefer a bell that you can just bang on without needing to use fine motor skills.
Other than those issues, the bell works fine. Captures people's attention just as well as my feeble yells.
