These cables work very well and they look really good, however I had to purchase another brake cable because one of the cables that came in the kit had a kink in it so it would stick in the housing. The 3 star rating is due to the inconvenience of having to replace the bad cable that came in the kit.

Bought this to replace a worn out saddle that was putting me in enough pain to make me hate riding. This one took a few rides and adjustments to settle in and be comfortable but the price point was what made this a perfect fit. The foam density is a little on the firm side but the shape and contour of the saddle make up for it. Not for those extreme racing types but on a good rocky trail it gets the job done.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this brake cable set!
My frame I am building up (Stumpjumer FSR Pro) requires cables + housing the entire length from brake lever to derailleur so I was a little worried there wouldn't be enough housing but after installation, I still had about a foot and a half left. Installation was a breeze and I set these up with Avid speed dial 7 levers and BB7 calipers front and rear.
Great cable set! Worth every penny!
