Comments about Jagwire Racer XL Road Cable Kit:
The Road Pro XL kit is designed for road bikes with mechanical disc brakes or long brake lines. The difference between this kit and standard cabling is that the Racer cable is lighter, but appears to have about the same lubricated liner as the standard Jagwire cable.
These cables are a HUGE improvement over stock cables. It will change the feel of your bike dramatically. The best part about this kit is that you get better (alloy) ferrules and Teflon-coated cables. Alloy ferrules both save weight and increase the stiffness of the shifting system, eliminating any free play and sponginess. The teflon cables last way longer, don't rust, and disappear against the finish of a bike.
Pick this up and you'll have enough extra cable to do another run of brake housing on your bike in the near future and possibly enough extra cable for an extra rear derailleur loop.
Make sure you use proper cable cutters and an Awl to properly prepare the cables for installation. A few minutes of time spent making sure your system has as little friction as possible makes a gigantic difference in shifting and braking response.
