Great upgrade, easy to install, adds a very finished/trick look to the standard cables most bikes come with. Get a good set of cutters, these are tough to get through.

Comments about Jagwire Ripcord Diy Brake Kit:

upgraded my wife's bike from v brakes to the avid BB7 mech disc. Got these cable with white housing to match her bike. Good construction and easy to trim on the housing even without a good quality pair of cable cutter. Cable comes in two different lengths. Make sure you use the short one for the front or else you won't have enough for the rear.

Comments about Jagwire Ripcord Diy Brake Kit:

i'm using these on my current disc setup, and they're great, out of the box they come with everything needed for installation with plenty of extra wire and housing if you mess up. The kevlar-infused housing is great for peace of mind, but probably isn't necessary and makes cutting it a bit tricky but nothing too bad.

Comments about Jagwire Ripcord Diy Brake Kit:

I used these cables with Avid BB7's and they made a huge difference in power and feel over regular Shimano cable housing. There is absolutely no cable flexing. I also have these on a pair of XTR V brakes and they work great. Make sure you have very good cutters to cut to size.

Comments about Jagwire Ripcord Diy Brake Kit:

I used this kit on a Avid BB7 disc setup for my SS build. Like that the kits comes in different colors for your build. Choose white for mine.My only complaint is the cable housing seems kind of soft on the outside. I use zipties to hold my number plate to the cables and it has chewed up the outside slightly. Merely cosmetic at this point, but annoying on a new bike. Otherwise, these cables are tough as [*]!!!!Definitely have a shop cut cable housing to length or get the proper cable cutters. Nothing else will chop through these! Super strong and cable action is buttery smooth.

Awesome kit. Only problem I have is it didn't come with enough of the cable ends (not the ferrules but the things that terminate the housing).

Great cable set as long as you use the proper cutting tools to install. The cables are smooth and offer great stopping power with my Avid BB7s.
