Jamis Icon Pro Bike 2016

Jamis Icon Pro Bike 2016

The Jamis Icon Is Jamis’ performance line of aluminum road bikes that is more than ready to hit the circuit and earn you a spot on the podium. The Jamis Icon Pro Bike features a Synthesis double-butted 6061 aluminum frame with an ovalized down tube with SSt tubing diameters, butted chainstays and a tapered head tube, which all amount to a stiff, yet lightweight and compliant ride. The full carbon fork dampens road vibrations, giving you a more comfortable ride without sacrificing weight or performance to do so.

You’ll often find yourself ahead of the pack without putting out as much effort as everyone else with this generous performance oriented package. The Shimano 105 will provide you with smooth and reliable shifting, giving you the freedom to attack at any moment without hesitation. The Mavic Aksium Race wheels are lightweight and will roll ever so effortlessly on the pavement, making it simple to maintain your speed. In other words: This bike rips!

    Very impressed
So far it has been great! It was very easy to complete the assembly and all the literature is helpful. I have completed several rides and put on about 50 miles since getting it without any problems. Thank you for Jenson USA!

Nice bike and build for the price!
Light, stiff and yet comfortable. Almost a full Shimano 105 group minus the brakes. I did replace the Vittoria Zaffiro Slick wire bead tires for a set of lighter 700x25c folding tires. I'm looking forward to putting many miles on it. Thanks JensonUSA!!!

The bike is nice! Especially when it's on clearance. I would have given it 5 stars but it wouldn't fit 28mm wide tires. A bike this new should fit 28mm wide tires.

What's the widest tires you could run on this bike?
    Neale S on Jun 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I bought continental Grand Prix 4000s 28mm and they just wouldn't fit. So I moved on to the same tire in 25mm and I had just a bit of rubbing. I think once the tire wears in a bit it should be fine but honestly 23mm is the proper size. The 28mm rubbed on the front brake and the 25mm just a bit on the front derailleur.
Is there a lot of flex when you're peddling out of the saddle? Also wondering if this bike is a good climber?
    A shopper on May 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Nope, this bike is a racer. Having ridden one around it's definitely good to go as far as climbing goes.
What type of riding is this bike built for, short or long distance?
    A shopper on May 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It's a race bike, so race distances. 200km rides maybe less so.
