Jamis Nemesis Bike 2013

Jamis Nemesis Bike 2013

a new breed

The triple-butted SPF tubing frame of the Jamis Nemesis Race bike is exceedingly light and responsive. It captures the responsive stiffness of alloy, but in a lighter package. With a tapered headtube, and oversized chainstays, it offers stability and control in a light and affordable package. It’s low, responsive, and built to aggressively climb and carry speed.

The Nemesis is light, agile, and capable of satisfying a wide range of riders. It offers excellent handling, and terrific power transfer, making it a bike fit for a litany of trails. Progressive geometry and advanced material combine to bring riders a new generation of XC bike.

Complete with a SRAM 10-speed drivetrain, this is a bike that can climb and maintain momentum with ease. The Ritchey cockpit features a low-rise bar that gives you stiff and responsive handling. Alex wheels and Schwalbe’s iconic Racing Ralph tires offer unmatched control with low rotating weight.

Love it
This looks even better in 3D. The red bits look great.. I got the 19" for my son, who is 5'9". I had read some other reviews about the sizing, and checked the 2013 Jamis catalog before I decided to try it. Glad I did. It fits him very well with the seat slid all the way forward. Room to grow! I normally would have thought a 19" frame would have been too big, but not the case here. The claimed weight is about right. If you don't need the latest and greatest axle standard and can live with components that may not be as light as the 2017 versions, give this a shot.

Solid choice for my teenager's first 'real' mountain bike
Was looking to purchase a new bike for my 15 year old son...he hasn't had much time in the saddle, so I wanted to get him a hardtail (to learn how to ride without relying on the skill - masking abilities of a full suspension bike). Had scoured Craigslist for a decent deal, but after a few weeks of looking, Jenson made a ton of sense for this purchase.

Checked out a few local bike shops as well and the pickings were slim at this time of year (especially in XL as he's 6'3"). Also bought a 2015 Kona Kula in a small frame for my 12 year old at the same time.

The bikes were shipped promptly and there was very basic final assembly to get them rolling. Impressive packaging that made the process enjoyable!

The Jamis is a good bike and the price was right...basically right at BicycleBlueBook.com 'Excellent' prices...tough to go too wrong with the purchase. Can't wax too poetically on the Nemesis, but it's a solid ride holding up to the terrain of a mountain town (Bozeman, Montana) with a newbie pilot.

Love it!
Great bike and exceptional service from Jenson. Bike arrived well packaged. The bike is a real head turner and rides great. I ordered the SuperMoto wheels from Jenson also because I ride the bike mostly on pavement. The only problem I had was the front brake that I could not adjust properly and then I noticed the rotor is warped. Contacted Jenson and they sent me a new better rotor (Sram Centerline). Always loved Jamis bikes, as I love smaller bike makers that are less common on the market.
