CNC'd from 6/4 Titanium, KCNC's road skewers feature a progressive cam shaft design that uses a ball and joint socket to maximize surface area and create a self aligning closure. They are also anodized for a long lasting, vibrant finish.
The skewers work well, look good and are light. However, the front skewer on my fork is a little short and while it fits, it makes doing quick changes just a tad less user friendly than the brand name skewer that came with the wheel. The front fork is for a Scott Plasma TT bike and I am not sure if it is wide or the front skewer by KCNC is just a little shorter than others.
These are the creakiest skewers i've ever put on a bike. in order to keep them quiet, you have to tighten them until you have bruises on your hands. And if you tighten them enough, the brass cups that the cams rest on will crack and fall out, rendering them useless. So, either you put up with your bicycle making noise, or you break the skewers. They are light, and look sexy, though.
These skewers are made out of a really light weight, soft aluminum that is not recommended for heavy pedaling up hills with your weight over the front wheel. They are really creaky and come loose after long up hill accents. At least they do on my 404 Zipps.
