Overall very good. Better shifting than Wippperman I used previously. I ride a smallish frame and so front derailleur rub can be an issue. This chain seems to be slightly narrower largely eliminating that problem.

One curious problem with wear. I regularly check the chain with a Spin Doctor wear indicator and the chain has looked fine for some time. Suddenly there was more than
.75% wear. I realized that this only was true if measuring across the "missing link". Thinking the link had worn I replaced it with a new "missing link". Same result. Replaced chain and link- okay. Wear apparently occurs at links attached to "missing link" giving a chain "stretched" only in that region. Sorry - don't know mileage. Depending on chain checker. Always measure across region with "missing link".

I purchased this chain because of the enticing low price, I installed it on my new 1x10 drivetrain and rode. About 30 miles on the chain and it broke. I fixed it and continued on. Not less than 10 miles after that, it broke again, causing me to cut my ride short. AFter that, it broke 3 MORE TIMES, the last time causing to me to crash and get severe road rash. This chain is now in the trash and I just saved up for a KMC X10 SL and it has been flawless so far.

      Comments about KMC DX10SC / X10.93 10 Speed Chain:

I was a bit skeptical purchasing this chain being I've always used the same brand as the groupo: Shimano or Sram, but man was I surprised. I installed it on a Shimano Di2 groupset in conjuction with a new Shimano cassette. The ease of installation with the quick link saved time and effort. The chain appeared to be wider than my worn out Shimano chain, but shifted effortlessly and precisely even when under load i.e. hill climbing.

Great chain, I love the missing link system it's so easy to remove the chain. The only negative thing I have to say is that compared to an Shimano XT chain it does not shed mud as good.

              Comments about KMC DX10SC / X10.93 10 Speed Chain:

I have used several if these chains on everything from my 1x10 mountain bike, my cross bike, both road bikes, and I have installed this chain on several friends bikes. Value, performance, lifespan, durability, and the use of the missing link for chain cleaning,'installation and trail fixes.
I also have a Connex-Whipperman in use on another mountain bike but I have so few miles on it I really can't compare it...it was waaaay more expensive though. It uses a missing link also. Most chains on the market I won't use because of the kind of final attachment, I.e. Pins, dowels, and other less convenient methods of attaching the final link. If you are on the road or trail and experience a failure of some sort, the chains that use a driven pin and a special tool are a liability...period, good luck counter arguing that one. As long as these chains are produced to this level of quality I will use them!!!

I am >200lbs and was breaking Shimano and SRAM chains non stop. No more broken chains with KMC. This is the most durable chain in the price range.

I've probably ridden about 5000 mountain bike miles on kmc chains and only had a problem with one missing link. I switched to kmc after breaking a SRAM chain.

This is my first non-Shimano or Campy chain. I'm using this on my mtb/commuter that I recently upgraded to 10sp dyna-sys. It works well enough, but I can't compare it to a Shimano Dyna-sys chain.

After I installed it I needed to reopen the missing link but was unable to. I don't have the special pliers for that, and if I need that it sort of defeats the purpose. Maybe as I use it more it'll loosen up so I can do it by hand.
