New to mountain biking, but retired and able to spend many hours in riding. Turned off my high price of most dropper posts and wary of cheap ones. Found the Kind Shock Eten on sale and the reviews were positive.
Have ridden this product on 9 trips and LOVE IT! Works great, but there are a few quirks: Turned bike over to change a flat and post would not support my wieght for a couple of minutes (this is noted in the directions). The directions are minimal and it took a little extra time to figue it out, but the installation was quick afterwards. Remote level is not ODI compatable. Need extra room on the bars for another lever.
Bottom line for me is it works great & would buy another.

I bought this product for my wife's bike. Install wasnt overly complicated. At the hand lever the cable sticks out and is capped off, making it stick out a bit, not the most attractive design. It took a little bit of adjustment of the cable to get it just right, the instructions in the box were pretty vague on setting the tolerance of the cable and weren't correct anyway. After a couple rides the seat began to fall and rise on its own so it took some readjusting,. then again a few weeks later the post had the same symptoms. Since then the post hasnt had any symptoms. The dropper post is pretty slow to drop and rise, at least compared to my Reverb, but that's on the opposite end of the spectrum and price. Now that it has worked consistently I'd say it is a good value, especially at less than half the cost of other dropper posts, but it is definitely not a perfect product.

Comments about KS Eten Remote Seatpost:

Great buy but the reviews on the instructions are true.... They're bad. I didn't have to mount the trigger in place of the inside ring on my ODI grips as many have. I had plenty of room. It's a nice post, seems durable and for the money it works great. I ride a 2013 Rocky Mountain Slayer so the extra weight isn't a deal breaker. I'd spend the extra cash on a lighter dropper if I owned a lightweight xc bike. Down is easy and it pops up as quick as I need it to. Good buy!

Easy to use. Changes your game.
All the things your friends have said and all the things that you may have read that made you think that you might want a dropper post are true. So why wouldn't you.
At this price? Duh.

If you are looking for a budget dropper, you can't go wrong with KS eTen. It's on the heavier side but I'm not worried about weight. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and don't have any complains about functionality. Smooth operation wether going up or down. The only thing that KS should change is to include the aluminum lever they have for sale instead of the plastic.

Used on two mountain bikes - not only makes descent fun, but as an added benefit mount/dismount is a breeze.

Written instructions lacking clarity on the cabling. Online videos solved that problem.

Comments about KS Eten Remote Seatpost:

For the money, this is a great option. Only encountered two issues so far:

The cable stop uses an extremely tiny set screw. I was scared to torque down on the screw for fear of stripping it and this caused to cable to slip.

Occasionally, the post will not go all the way back up and stops about an inch short. Releasing and pressing the button again seems to make it fully extend.

If you want a dropper seat post that works well but doesn't cost a small fortune then this is perfect. A little heavier than most, but works perfectly and looks like it will be durable. If your bike cost $2k or less then it is difficult to justify buying anything fancier than this entry level KS dropper. Very happy with it.

It works. It does exactly what a dropper post is supposed to do. No it isnt stealth routed, or hav ODI grip compatibility. Doesnt fit 27.2. However, it does exactly what its supposed to do, for half the price of the next cheapest dropper. For $250 i probably wouldnt have a dropper. For $140, like this one, I would not ride without it. Probably the best bang for your buck of anything you could possibly put onto your bike.

Have it on for two rides, works very well. What a joy not having to stop to drop the seat. Did a gnarley section of Rocky Ridge in Dupont and it really came in handy. Instructions need updating and with a little more clarification but got it on in 30 minutes.
