Purchased this for my back-up commuter which required a 27.0 seatpost. I wanted something a little higher end, but you can't get anything mid range in that funky old size. I would had to have bought a Thompson to get something fancy in this size. This does the trick! Used it for about 2 years of winter commuting. Classic old school mounting system is easy to use, strong and looks good. Also comes in polished finish if you want that retro bling on your bike.
Downside is its on the heavier side.
