I replaced the seatpost clamp on my Motobecane, which was not quick-release and I think it looks fine, and it works great.
Make sure that you order the correct size clamp, which ever one you choose. Measure the outside diameter of the seat *tube*, not the seat post. My seat post is 27.2 mm and my seat tube is 31.8 mm, so that's the one I ordered, and it fits perfectly.
Something that I was not completely sure of, is that there is a slight lip at the top of the clamp so that when you release your seat post to raise or lower the seat, the clamp stays in place. I figured that it would have some kind of lip, but the picture really doesn't show it.
This clamp works very well, and will probably last forever.

Purchased this as a budget replacement for the stock post clamp on my Felt Nine Trail, which was not quick-release. Easy to install and gets the job done(so far).
Not for the weight or cosmetic focused riders. It's big, clunky looking, and heavy.
If you're cheap like me and don't care about counting grams or high-cycling-fashion, this is your clamp.
