This is a great tire for dusty through semi-wet conditions but does not grip well in very soft dirt or mud, as the tread is easily encumbered and clogged. It's at home on a gravity-driven bike but can bridge the gap to cross country and racing applications, though the price of durability is weight and high rolling resistance. This tire has made my decent pace much more rapid because of increased grip and stiffness but it seems to be a wash because my climbs are slightly slower and cost more energy to fight a heavier, slower rolling tire. It's all a trade-off. Overall, a very well built and priced product that can do what you need as long as you aren't a weight weenie.

A very inexpensive way to try the Nevegal tread, ride them until they are worn out and then upgrade to the folding kevlar version if you like the feel of them. Would definitely buy again.

This is like my 12th kenda nevegal tire I have owned. I just love them for a front tire. Mounted up tubeless simple. Great all around tire for what I ride. Can't go wrong with this tire.

Great tires, haven't done much mud in them but have ridden them quite a bit, they are wonderful, limitless traction, They just grip which is good.

I ride this tire cross country and it has loads of traction. It rolls pretty well too for having a heavy tread pattern. One of my friends used a pair up at Winter Park and he said they worked great. Doesn't beat the Highroller, but I'd buy it again.

I've been running Nevegals for years. They are a great tire for Western climates, or on dry days. I rode them all over Colorado and they performed excellently. They aren't superstars in any one category, but during a ride I never found myself complaining about my tires...and I'm picky.
I will say, though, that I recently moved to the East Coast, and these tires are not the best for shedding mud, nor for wet traction (I know the two are interrelated). Bottom line: Good tire for most riding conditions.
