Prices shown in currencies other than USA Dollars are estimates based on current exchange rates. We will charge your credit card in USA Dollars on the day your order is shipped, and the conversion to your local currency will be done at the prevailing rate by your credit card issuer.
Shipments outside the USA are declared as “bike parts” for customs purposes and will include the actual amount paid for merchandise and shipping. Jenson USA will not mark your parcel as a “gift”, declare a value lower than the actual price paid, or otherwise prepare false customs information.
You know the feeling, or maybe you've dreamed of it. Adrenaline pumping. Mile after mile of road stretched out in front of you. The competition or at least your personal best is falling out of sight behind you. The Kestrel Legend Ultegra Road Bike is the stuff that the budding road cyclist's dreams are made of. Kestrel's highly-praised high modulus carbon fiber and sleek, edgy design put the Legend on the short list for best value in a modern road bike.
Using a blend of 700k and 800k high modulus carbon fiber, Kestrel engineered the Legend frame with a groundbreaking weight-to-stiffness ratio. The Legend's meticulously constructed frame features inner polyurethane molds in key areas, such as the bottom bracket shell and head tube. These molds work to smooth the fibers and control resin content, resulting in one of the lightest and strongest frames possible. The same logic is used for the Kestrel EMS Pro Full Carbon fork. An EPS foam mold in the crown area gives the fork all the rigidity necessary while allowing a touch of compliance. The Legend frame utilizes a BB30 bottom bracket for increased stiffness at the crank and asymmetrical chainstays offset drivetrain torque, maximizing power transfer. All of these thoughtful features work in your favor, giving you a competitive edge and a bike with a delightfully lively, resilient feel.
At the core of the drivetrain, the Kestrel Legend Ultegra is equipped with a Oval Concepts 720 hollow forged crankset. Supporting this workhorse of a crank is a full compliment of Shimano Ultegra 11-speed components. Ultegra is Shimano's true workhorse and represents the excellent middle ground between Dura-Ace and Shimano's lower tier components. Shimano Ultegra derailleurs and STI shifters provide crisp, accurate shifting with the legendary reliability that has made Shimano a household name. The Legend Ultegra Road Bike rolls on a set of Oval Concepts 527 wheels wrapped in Vittoria Zaffiro Pro Slick rubber. When you can't stand to go any faster (said no one, ever) The Legend's Shimano Ultegra dual-pivot caliper brakes will help you modulate your speed safely and predictably. Kestrel finishes off the Legend Ultegra build with a no-nonsense cockpit outfit from Oval Concepts.
