Good quality, very small light. For the sale price, you can't beat the quality and design.
I bought the red LED version. The LED is SUPER bright, but since there is only one LED, it is like a very bright pinhole of light. Easily obstructed by bags or other reflectors on the back of bike, but it mounts anywhere, so it can always be easily moved to get a clear throw. I would not recommend using this light without a reflector or another rear light. The pin of light can be easy to miss, even if it can be seen from far away. Install is the easiest of any accessory I put on my commuter. Once you decide where to put it, it takes 5 seconds to snap it on and it stays exactly where you put it, angled exactly how you want it.
Considering how much I paid for this light on sale, three of these guys on the back of the bike would outperform any expensive option, and allow placement anywhere for tough to fit bikes. You can even stick it on the back of a rack or a large load of panniers!
If you find this on sale, best inexpensive rear light out there. If I find them on sale again, I will buy a few more to stick on all my bikes.

The Knog Beetle comes in either the front, white light or the rear, red light. I have the front, white light. While it is convenient and easily attaches or detaches to your handlebars, the small LED lights are not very bright. They might be adequate as a backup blinky to be seen but there are brighter options out there, including other ones made by Knog.

Comments about Knog Beetle Led Light 2011:
Colorful silicon housings that let you attach and remove them easily.
These are bright enough that I feel that people can actually see them, especially when paired with another on your bag or back.

Comments about Knog Beetle Led Light 2011:
Thought they were white and I could use them for backup front lights, but they are red. I use them on my seatpost and blink like a tail light. The strap and light work great.

Comments about Knog Beetle Led Light 2011:
Not a light to see stuff in the dark, but actually to be seen. It is small, nice, well built, quick to strap on the bike. You can change it from bike to bike easily.
Got to remember to take it out once bike is chained outside, cause can be stolen. It fits a small pocket, but careful not to lose it.
Comments about Knog Beetle Led Light 2011:
Great. The strap is really perfect to hang on a small carabiner when you take it off the bike, so it is almost impossible to lose.
Comments about Knog Beetle Led Light 2011:
i don't recommend it. you pay a price for the convenience of such a small accessory. i'd recommend a larger light that won't be lost so easily.
