An aluminum cyclocross bike that forgoes the flash for the function and the fun

With a lightweight aluminum construct and a stable geometry, you'd be hard pressed not to take Jake The Snake with you everywhere. No, you can't wear it around your neck or feed it mice, but you can take it to the local cross race, ride an epic gravel road or embark on a light weekend tour.

The 2016 alloy Jake features a polished geometry with a lower bottom bracket, slightly taller head tube and slightly shorter top tube, resulting in a bike that's steady and allows a more neutral position, while preserving the racing tradition of the platform. The head tube angle for all models corresponds to the bottom bracket drop, allowing the bike to be ridden more aggressively without fear of performing an uncontrolled superman. The slacker head tube coupled with the shorter top tube also preserve the wheelbase and make for a responsive, confident ride. A full carbon fork with 15mm thru axle helps to smooth out the ride and keeps the steering on point.

This Jenson custom build pairs the Jake the Snake frame with SRAM's reliable and precise Rival 1, 11-speed group. The Rival shifter throws down snappy shifts across the 11-speed SRAM cassette that boasts an 11-36t gear range that will let you smash the straights and spin the climbs. When it comes time to slow things down, the Rival hydraulic disc brakes will stop on a dime no matter the conditions. The lightweight Easton wheels spin fast and smooth with Schwalbe Racing Ralph Tires providing traction to confidently rail the corners. A cockpit by Niner and Easton top off this build that is ready to tame the gnarliest of CX courses or go cruise a casual gravel grind.
