Kona Process 134 Se Bike 2015

Kona Process 134 SE 2015

The Process 134 SE is an All-Mountain oriented bike designed specifically for smaller riders. Tweens and folks under 5’4”, this is your ride.

The perfect Enduro or All-Mountain Bike needs to strike a delicate balance between numerous factors like geometry, pedal efficiency, rolling resistance, travel, weight, stiffness, durability, price. This list is long and intimidating to tackle. Kona with its Process 134 SE took on that challenge. The fruit of their labor is a bike that is stiff, has exceptional handling demeanor and remains steady at high speeds. Personality traits any enduro Mother and Father would love to see in their youngsters. This is accomplished with a short chain stay, low bottom bracket, long top tube, linkage designed to keep the frame high in its travel, and a 68 degree headtube angle.

Your Intense Kona Process 134 SE will arrive decked out in a solid set of components. A SRAM 1x11 drivetrain, including, cranks, cassette, shifters, and the Shimano Deore brakes will get the WTB KOM i23 wheels up to speed and in control. Suspension is handled by a 140mm RockShox Revelation RL fork up front and a RockShox Monarch RT in the rear. A Race Face Atlas stem Turbine bar and a KS LEV DX topped by a WTB Volt saddle make up the cockpit.

Bike fer ma wife
Was looking for a used 100-130mm travel bike for my wife but this deal was too good to pass up. Great spec on bike. Kona saved money on brakes and dropper but maintained good suspension. Wife is 5'6" and it seems to fit her really well although it is a touch bigger than last bike so it will take a little getting used to. Due to lighter duty components bikes overall weight is very manageable.

Things to note:
-paint color is black and teal (looked blue to me in pic)
-bars are 35mm diameter and 760 wide (probably a little excessive) which I immediately cut to 710 which has worked out great. Printing on bars does not recommend cutting further so you'd have to buy a new set if you really wanted narrower than that.
-Not billed as a women's specific bike so saddle does have central pressure relief but not a ton.

Overall really pleased with this bike.

Awesome
I purchased this bike for my wife and so far she loves it. She's coming from a 26" hardtail and this has bike has given her a lot more confidence both on descents and climbs. I spent about 2 months looking for a bike for her (both used and new) and I couldn't find a better deal. My main concern when purchasing this was the bike ability to climb but after one ride I realized that this bike climbs better than my wifes hard tail on anything other than a road. The full suspension tracks so much better on climbs that she doesn't have to hesitate when approaching obstacles. My wife is 5'5" and the medium fits perfect.

I love this bike. It is a perfect blend of climbing ability and descending with confidence. A huge step forward for me from my old bike. Kona nailed it with this set up and Jenson killed it on the build.
