I'm a larger heavier rider than most guys. My brakes were not really confidence inspiring on the fast downhills. I was looking for an easy cheap way to get more stopping power so I stopped by and asked the guys what they could recommend short of buying a new set of calipers. And these work great! Great feel and great power over the stock pads that came on my bike.

Bought these for a set of Dura-Ace brakes on my Davinci 'beater'. Even with old rims & cables, these brake pads have been great — even under wet conditions. I'm quite pleased with their performance, especially at such a good price.

put these on as a replacement for the stock pads on my Ultegra Brakes. Great option, seem to be grippier and less brake noise than other pads. A good option for those who like to stop.

At first I thought I needed to upgrade my brake calipers as the Tektro brakes that came on my Allez were not cutting it. After swapping out the Tektro pads to the Kool-Stops, it was like night and day! The Tektro brakes work great with the Kool-Stop pads. I have some Salmon pads, but have not tried them yet, so I can't compare the two. If you ride in dry conditions like me, the black is all you will need!

Good quality, excellent design, using on a carbon wheels has no problem and the best thing is cheaper than the other brand.
