My favorite pads. I've used these on a wicked downhill (20%+ in sections, almost a mile/over 1.5km) on a wet day, with no problem and no fade. Pads are cheap; get these good ones.

My bike came stock with Tektro CR-720 Cantilever brakes and the braking power was terrible. After doing some research it looked like the Salmon Kool Stops were the way to go. Tektro went to a shorter brake pad so there was a bit of confusion as to which pads to order. These slid right in and had no issues.

Great quality pads that grip well and increase your stopping power, in dry or wet conditions (I use the salmon colored pads). I always replace my stock brake pads with Kool Stop. They are durable and perform well in any scenario.

These are great pads for all around use. Not sure why Koolstop advertises only for wet use. They provide excellent braking power. They don't get metal shards embedded in the pad, which can eat away at your rim very quickly. Switching to these pads is one of the first things I do when I get a new bike.

Great pad to upgrade a range of brakes.
I upgraded the pads on my Tektro CR-720 canti brakes, improved power.
Only slight negative is that as they are a softer pad the wear quicker than cheaper, harder pads, but the stop better.

I use these exclusively on my road and cyclocross bikes. Exceptionally long lasting in dry and wet conditions.
Wear quite slowly in even the muddiest of 'cross races.
Quiet and tend not to pick up that mamy debris (probably a result of the denser compound).
A must for someone who rides at all in inclement weather.

These pads get the job done. The Salmon pads look nice and offer slightly less "grabby" braking with better modulation for racing. You don't want a super grabby pad for racing, and these take off the speed in a nice graded manner.
The refills will work for any modern cartridge caliper road brake setup, not just Ultegra or Dura Ace. I currently am running these on BR-5600s and they work nice. I'm sure they'll work on SRAM road brakes as well.
No wet weather use as of yet, but both colors of pad offer good performance in dry conditions. Shimano pads have a better, cushier, grabbier feel in general, but these are probably your second best bet.
Not for use with carbon rims.
