Comments about Kool-Stop Tire Bead Jack With Handle:

I wasn't looking for this tool. I just happened to come across it when I was looking for something else.

The only reason I stopped to consider this tool was because just a few days before I found this tool I suffered a flat while out on a ride. And of course it was a wheel and tire combination that has always been a PITA.

I did some searching on YouTube and found a few videos showing how to use the tool. The price was cheap so what the heck?

Got the tool and it works! However, on the aforementioned rim and tire combination that always gives me fits I had to use the tool in a different way.

In other words you would normally hook the tool on the rim and then use the other side to *lift* the tire onto the rim. In my case I had to use the hook first to lift (hold) the tire and then place the other side into the rim. So in a sense I had to do it backwards - but it worked. :-)

On my other rims and tires I didn't have to do this.

Anyway, I love this tool! I even keep it in my pack which is a God send when we have to fix a flat on a DH run!

    Good stuff!!

I've used this tool for years. When needed it is a god-send. The most recent one seems to be made from a little stronger plastic than previous ones I've bought.

I happen to be one of those riders with an extremely challenging tire/rim combo. I've tried countless times put my tires back on after a flat and there is no way I can get the tire over the rim without using levers, and I've ruined my fair share of tubes in the process. I saw one of the mechanics at the LBS use one of these, and I bought it the very next day. It has simplified my life tremendously - I can't say enough positive things about this amazing product.

I have changed and/or installed hundreds of tires and tubes. Some tire/rim combinations have been so tight that you need to use levers, stretching, heat, soap, brute force, record breaking amounts of swearing to get the tire on. After all that pinched tubes and subequent flats can and will occured.

This device makes installing the most difficult tires a breeze. Buy one and let the good times (and your bike) roll!!!!!

Very easy to use. The tire goes in effortlessly. Better than any other product I have tried (tire irons, quicksticks). Excellent design. Lightweight.
