We don't know about you, but we have a love-hate relationship with wearing body armor. We love it for its protection, but we hate it because it can be hot, heavy and bulky. To mend this relationship, the Leatt 3DF 5.0 Knee Guard features soft, yet dense foam pads that achieve CE EN 1621-1 certified impact protection while maintaining a lightweight, and skinny profile with MoistureCool wicking fabric to keep you cool. Additionally, the 3DF 5.0 features side padding to protect the fragile parts of the knee. The pre-curve design moves with the body to keep your range of motion unrestricted, while the adjustable strap and silicone laminated stretch opening keep the guard secured to your leg.
Leatt 3DF 5.0 Knee Guard Features:

Pre-curve design for better fit and function
Super light weight
MoistureCool wicking fabric helps keep you cool

Side padding helps protect the delicate parts of the knee
After getting a few bruises on my knees a couple of times in a row I figured it was time for some knee pads. I have never enjoyed wearing protective gear until I put these pads on. Right out of the packaging these are super plush and comfortable. No sliding, shifting, or pitching. I genuinley forget that I have them on. My liner shorts are more noticeable. While wearing these pads, I have hit my knee on my: bars, branches and thorny bushes, and fallen on dirt, gravel and rock gardens. Its like falling on a tempurpedic mattress. Given that I ride cross-country I am not likely to see any high-speed impacts, but these pads are holding up really well thus far. The fit: The top of the pad meets the bottom of my liner shorts and the bottom of the pad rest at to top of my calf.
This doesn't bother me but I felt it worth mentioning because my buddy made a comment: The knee pads stand off from the knee cap making them look "bulky". They are not a slim fit paper doll knee pad.
I've worn these now on a few rides. They start out very comfortable and tend to stay that way, even on mile 20. No slipping so long as you get the bottom strap over your calf. Jury's still out on if they'll be as durable as my old 661s were. So far, I'm happy with these. As with all my other Leatt gear, well designed and highly functional.
