I ride mountain/cross country. My old aluminum cages would let my bottles go flying on rough down hills. I was expecting to spend a lot more for something that would hold my bottles in place , but the guys behind desk(riverside warehouse) said I should give these a try. When I first got em I didn't have much faith in them. First they held my Polar Insulated bottles snuggle but looked sloppy(gaps between cage & bottle). Second I've never used a side load before and thought it would be a hassle to get used to. I was wrong on both accounts I haven't had a bottle drop out or even slide up they stay 100% in place all day. And for me the side load is more natural to use(never thought about it before but 95% of us usually grab our bottles from one side)

2 cages for the price of 1

Comments about Lezyne Composite Flow Cage Side Load Set:

Bottles fit tight-I use one under down tube so extra security is welcome- has never dropped a bottle.
I needed to use longer screws for mounting as the plastic is thicker than a metal cage- will depend on what came with your bike.

Pleased ... enough that I have these on three bikes now.

Comments about Lezyne Composite Flow Cage Side Load Set:

I use these on my road bikes and my mountain bike. I like that this cage holds the bottle securely enough but it's still easy to get the bottle out from one side (great for me because I normally grab the bottle from the same side). These might not be the right water bottle cage for those who like to access the bottle from both sides.

Comments about Lezyne Composite Flow Cage Side Load Set:

Modern frames with short seat tubes and sloping top tubes don't give you much room for water bottles. This is the solution. Holds em nice and tight, simple design that's easy to install and doesn't attract crud. Note, you get two per package. Great deal.

I use these on 3 of my bikes and have never had one drop a bottle. If you're trying to save weight these aren't for you but if keeping your water where you need it through any conditions is top priority these won't let you down.

I bought this set to put the right hand one on the downtube of my Jet9 Carbon RDO. I couldn't tell which one was considered right hand so I bought the pair. The other went on my WFO since it fit with the piggy back rear shock.

Comments about Lezyne Composite Flow Cage Side Load Set:

These cages look nice enough and hold most bottles really well. However, they don't work AT ALL with Camelbak Podium Chill... lost one on one of my first rides out. They work fine with the non-Chill Camelbaks and with most other bottles I've used.

They are bulky and heavy, but chances are you'd be getting carbon or titanium if you cared a lot about that.
