Lezyne's Gauge Drive is the premier choice for those looking for the perfect blend of performance and longevity in a hand pump. The Gauge Drive HP's (high pressure) optimized design allows you pump up your high pressure, lower volume tires such as those for road bikes, to the proper riding pressure with fewer strokes than similar mini pumps. Lezyne achieves this by using an overlapping handle and barrel with an oversized piston and shaft, while maintaining a slim package for easy stowage on the bike, in your pack or in a jersey pocket.
Simply remove the ABS hose from the inside of the pump, attach the hose to the opposite side of the pump, screw the hose into your valve and you are ready to pump. Other pumps use a rigid attachment to the valve, which may deform the fragile valve head and ruin tubes. Lezyne's ABS Flex Hose allows the pump to move independently of the wheel, protecting the valve head with a more secure connection which prevents accidental detachment, and allowing more ergonomic pumping and less rider fatigue.
Where the Gauge Drive HP really stands alone from other hand pumps on the market, is in Lezyne's ABS Pen Gauge, a precise and compact in-line pressure gauge that built into the pumps compact design, resulting in accurate air pressures out on the trail, as oppose to playing the guessing game. The ABS (Air Bleed System) features a button which releases excess air out of the hose for easy removal after pumping. The Gauge Drive really is an ingenious design.
The pump's body is a work of art in itself. The handle, barrel and shaft are completely formed of sumptuous CNC'd Aluminum, while the end caps are constructed of Lezyne's proprietary Composite Matrix material to maximize durability and rigidity. The solid, industrial design will perform in the worst of conditions, holding up to intense abuse and years of use. The Gauge Drive HP comes equipped with Lezyne's famous ABS Flex Hose and also includes frame mounting hardware for mounting to water bottle bosses.
