As advertised...
Purchased to replace brakes on my daughter's older bike. Easy installation and adjustment, and they're working perfectly. I rated them a five, but that is for pretty light use, no reason to believe they wouldn't hold up under pressure, though.

Great product for an affordable price
Built up a '95 model Specialized hybrid frame I came across that was in perfect condition. Wanted to keep the build as affodable as possible to see if the wife enjoys cycling. Put a pair of these brakes on and they will rip the fillings out of your teeth. Excellent stopping power and very smooth feel. Highly recommend for under $30 a pair.

Best value linear brakes
I originally bought a single pair of these brakes to replace some old parallel push shimano deore XT that had developed excessive play for the front of my MTB. They are lighter and more powerful than the XT brakes as well as much cheaper. I was so impressed I bought a second pair for the rear. I run them with a roller rather than the noodle supplied, this seems to help with modulation and power.

PROS: Easy To Install, Handles Elements Well, Great Stopping Power, Sturdy Design, Lightweight

BEST USES: Road Biking, Mountain Biking

Yeah! V-brakes for fenders
I'm no connoisseur of brakes, but these work great and I can finally install fenders.

Truly Average Brake
The plus of these is that they have a slightly longer arm than average which allows for additional clearance on some fender set-ups. Unfortunately, this could equally cause some problems with certain rack mounts.

The stopping power is truly average. And the springs on this are flimsy, which leads to finicky adjustments over time.

PROS: Long Clearance Arms

CONS: Cheap Springs, Average Stopping Power

Excellent brakes for the money!
Built up two different bikes using these and was very happy with the way they performed. I thought they were almost as good as the Shimano brakes I used on one of my other bikes.

PROS: Good clearance, Good braking, Lighweight

Nice set of brakes!
Bought this to replace the installed Promax brakes on my son's bike. I meant to just replace the pads, but when I saw this, I ordered them instead of the pads! Same price, and everything is in the box including a couple of noodles and rubber boots!

Received but one pair was used
Received the two sets of brakes as ordered. I am happy with the price and quality of the brakes. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because one box of brakes was open and appear used as if someone returned them and Jenson tried to resell them as new. It was not worth my time to contact Jenson for an exchange or return. This definitely makes me think twice about the quality of items being sold on the site and marked as new.

They get the job done.
They're adequate brakes, and good for the price. They aren't what you'd use if you had unlimited funds, but sometimes you have to finish up a project on a budget, y'know?

PROS: Lightweight, Sturdy Design, Easy To Install

CONS: Poor Lever Feel, Noisy When Wet

BEST USES: Road Biking, Mountain Biking
