They are really great for the winter rainy muddy wet rides. They really keep your seals in top condition so you don't have to replace them like you normally would after they have been trying to keep massive chunks of mud and water out. They look sweet but dont buy them for forks with over 120mm of travel they aren't long enough.

Pros:
They are light, as advertised, and certainly easy to use. Measure, mark, cut, and install.
Cons:
Lacking any kind of grip-iness, these ride up the stanchions as they compress, and then stay there. As such, they don't do all the much to protect the fork seals.
Bottoms line:
These, like other Lizard Skins products, are primarily there for scratch protection, in my estimation. I have had to clean my stanchions no more and no less than usual. Go ahead and try them out if they are on sale, but don't expect miracles from them. They may be lighter than the old rubber boots, but they also protect less.

Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
Protects your stanchions... easy to setup, lighter than rubber boots. I got rid of mine after a week. It brings me back to the 90s... looks too out of date and out of fashion. I never needed any stanchion protection anyway. Doesn't value add. Would not recommend unless you habitually scuff your stanchions.
Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
I really like the look of the product on the bike and the quality. It was pretty hard to cut them the right way and i kind of messed them up. I would recommend taking them to a bike shop of finding a stencil online to help guide you.

Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
Simple, durable, easy to install and work as advertised. Factor in the price and that they look great...makes them a great buy. I also have been using a Lizard Skin rear shock boot for almost 10 years and shows minimal wear. Lizard Skins are made for the long haul.
Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
These are a reasonably well made product, but seem to be designed for bikes from the 90s.These fork boots do not fit 36mm stanchions at all, and look like they are made for forks with around 120mm travel, max.So, if they fit your forks, I am sure they are fine. But if you have a modern, longer travel fork, they are completely useless despite the "one size fits all" approach of the product.
Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
so far so good its well worth buying this product. $12.00 spent well. there so much better i just might buy another pair
Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
These shock boots have worked great for me to replace the original rubber shock boots. They are a tight fit but after a little customizing they keep the trail dust off well.
Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
I don't use these as directed. The best $12 I spent was used for keeping bugs off the fork tubes when hitting the road at freeway speeds.Take 'em off at the trailhead and the forks are bug free.
Comments about Lizard Skins Fork Boots:
I have yet to find a fork that these install on as directed. If you custom cut them to fit, they look great when first installed and like they are going to help protect your fork. It does not take much riding though before the fork compression starts squishing these down to half their size, leaving your fork just as exposed to the elements as it was before, along with a couple of ugly, squished lizard skins wrapped around your fork legs for no apparent reason. If you want to dress up a bike for show (not riding), these are a nice item. Otherwise, trust your wiper seals and learn to appreciate the functional look of the bare metal on you fork legs.
