I put these on all of my bikes on the head tube. There is nothing more annoying and preventable than cable rub digging into your frame's finish. They adhere well after years of use and don't lift and attract dirt like some thinner products. The lizard logo can be annoying and distracting, depending on the color of your bike.

use anywhere a cable rubs ...its clear so is unnoticeable on the bike...mud and water won't affect the adhesion at all.

Comments about Lizard Skins Frame Patch Kit:

I put these on my road bike when I noticed some cables were going to rub on the frame. They aren't too noticeable (on my white bike anyway) and they stick really well. I haven't had any issues with them peeling. Also they are a good thick material that should last a long time. I put them on everything now to protect the paint.

Comments about Lizard Skins Frame Patch Kit:

Works great, need to cut to shape around odd-angled welds/joints on frames. Make sure to clean any grease/dirt/debris off the frame with alcohol before application, otherwise it won't stick. Once stuck to the frame, I've had them survive 2 winters and riding through rain (haven't fallen off yet).

These things do a great job of protecting your frame from cable rub, but they don't do well sticking to uneven surfaces like weld beads.

Lightweight, affordable and durable. They look great too. I ride mostly XC in a dry climate, so not sure how well they do in a wet enviorment. Bottom line...if you need to protect an expensive frame from cable wear and possibly other types of damage, than this is a good place to start.

            Best Uses

Comments about Lizard Skins Frame Patch Kit:

Works well but won't last forever. They last longer when applied to flatter sections of the frame. Corners and kinks cause bubbles in the sticker which eventually lead to the sticker losing adhesion and coming off

              Best Uses

Comments about Lizard Skins Frame Patch Kit:

I have a Marin with suspension links always rubbing the cables and I don't know what I would have done without these stickers. They are much more durable than regular tape, but thicker, so it is not as conformable.
