The BB mount version DOES work on a Santa Cruz Superlight. I'm not sure what version the reviewer below used, but I had now issues with mine.
It works great and after 300-400 later, still no issues. Great product.

For lower michigan terrain a 1x setup rules the roost. I tried other keepers without success. I have been using this keeper for several months and have not thrown a chain.

I purchased the Seat tube mount model and was VERY disappointed. Their site says that it works for a CX bike OR a mountain bike. Atleast w/ the triple ring crank I have it did NOT. It is spaced too close to the frame to work on a triple. LOVED my BB Mount MRP 1x guide! Apparently this seat tube mount is very limited on application.

Great alternative to a front derailleur. Works very well and haven't lost a chain.
It does cover some of the lower linkage on my suspension, which makes it a little annoying to any maintenance on it but that only happens once or twice a year.
I have the BB mount and that is a little finicky ie. when tightening the bb, it will move the guide so you have to be sure to brace it.
I should have purchased the direct mount. My bad.

If your setting up your ride to rum 1x9 or 1x10 this is the way to go. Now this isn't for bombing down mountains but it will keep your chain in place for trail riding.

I used this on a Turner Sultan with a 34 tooth chain ring. I had to modify the mounting clamp heavily to fit around the gusset weld as well as the plastic notch on the guide itself so it would sit low enough. Most likely you wouldn't have to do this on other frame designs.
Once on it just simply works, no more dropped chains. Easy to adjust.
It would be 5 stars but a little pricey for what it is.

Great guide, very simple to install and setup. Have been using their guides for almost 2 years now. I love 1.x setups and this makes it easy, plus if converting a standard triple the added spacers save you money over having to buy new chainbolts.

I can't believe I waited so long to go to a 1x drive train. I should have done this years ago. My chain always jumped gears up front, not any longer. Bumps, jumps, and log crossings no problem. Haven't had the chain come off once. It took about 40 minutes to install most of that was cleaning up my running gear.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
