With the advent of the "narrow/wide" chainring profile which was made popular with SRAM's XX1/X01 drivetrains, many people are ditching their front derailleurs on their all mountain trail bikes. The MRP Mirco Chain Guide provides the skid plate and upper guide of the Mini G3 with the pulley tension system seen on such models as the MRP 2X, providing both proper chain wrap and chainring protection to your trail bike's 1x drivetrain. This integrated skid unit protects important drivetrain parts like your chainrings from being torn apart by rock and root strikes. The skid plate on the MRP Mirco can also be removed to better suit the needs of the terrain while still utilizing the unit's chain retention features. The integrated pulley ensures proper chain wrap, which allows for consistent and reliable performance - an important factor when flying through a rutted and rooted section of the trail.
