SRAM Guide RSC Disc Brakes 2015

SRAM Guide RSC Disc Brakes

What’s it going to take to ride that line? It’s steep. It’s rocky. You’ve passed it a hundred times. But not this time. With the all-new SRAM Guide RSC Disc Brakes, you have the power to take your riding to the next level. Proven 4-piston calipers give you smooth, one-finger control. Features like Reach Adjust let you dial it in just right. SRAM's new SwingLink technology takes brake lever performance to the next lever with less deadband and more grippy positive pad contact, giving you top-notch control of your brake's modulation. Contact Point Adjust lets you pick the position you want your fingers to be in when the brakes are engaged and offers a quick and easy way to customize the feel of your brakes without having to move the pads. The Guide's brand new master cyclinder is a big upgrade from the TaperBore system used on previous Elixir levers and employs is a sliding cup-seal and port system. The new design allows brakes to actuate the moment the lever is squeezed, providing excellent modulation and a responsive feel. Guide is the perfect complement to other SRAM components and gives you flawless performance on every ride.

known defect problem with these
If you get these and you have a lever that does not want to return its a know defect where the master cylinder is sticking. I'm sure Jenson would just swap it out for you. Also I think the shimano XT brakes are better, they seem to respond better and are more sensitive to my finger. I had the XT brakes on my 2015 Nomad and I have these on my 2016 V10. These brakes to me are just ok.

Very good disc brakes!
I bought these brakes after reading several long term use reviews. I upgraded from SRAM XO disc brakes. These newly designed brakes really are worth looking at. I much prefer the feel and have much more confidence when things get choppy. Another reason I got them is that they are much easier to adjust as you ride...the XO's are not the easiest to get the adjustments right on (in my hands). Overall I am very happy with these on my XC bike.

PROS: Easy Adjustments, Attractive Design, Good Modulation, Lightweight, Easy To Install

Great feel and stopping power
These are a replacement for Elixir 9's and are miles better in terms of overall feel and performance. Additionally, I had to bleed them due to trimming the hoses and I was able to get a good bleed the first time, when I had to bleed Elixirs repeatedly. Very satisfied so far.

Best brakes I've ridden
I installed the brakes as an upgrade to the hydraulic brakes on my hybrid bike. Braking is very smooth and effortless. I like the Matchmaker feature as it keeps the handlebar clutter free and leaves space for other accessories.

PROS: Matchmaker Compatible, Lightweight, Durable, Easy To Install, Attractive Design

BEST USES: Upgrade, Mountain Biking, Road Biking

Great brake
Coming from Formula C1 these are night and day. Smooth handle movement and modulation is amazing. Adjustments are perfect to customize how they fit your hand. Bleeding is easy. Coupled them with Centerline rotors and they grip like crazy.

Excellent brakes!!!
I' tried different brakes and this to me is probably the best. I have used xt', stopping power and modulation was good. These rsc's take modulation to the next level. Stopping power is just as good.
