Not 100% compatible with 2011 Marta
A fitting that connects to the bleed port on the brake lever reservoir for Magura Marta 2011 and later brake models is not included! Bleeding is still possible, but a lot messier.

Do Not Purchase This Product
I love my new Magura MT5 brakes, but the bleed kit I proactively bought to service them is a useless waste of money. The poor quality is apparent as soon as you open the box - high school chem lab syringes, poor fitting hoses, etc. The amount of air the kit introduced into the braking system was laughable. I ride and wrench on my bikes every day, and would never recommend this kit to anyone. Save your money and build your own kit that works, or, support your LBS. Shame on Magura, a high-end company with beautiful products, for allowing such junk to wear their badge; and shame on Jenson for selling it.

PROS: None

CONS: Poor Quality, Weak

Not as pictured
Important things first, my kit included
2x olives,
2x inserts
1 bleed adapter (bared on one end to fit in the hose, and threaded on the other to fit the caliper bleed port.)
1 hose
2 syringes
4 oz. of brake fluid.

Works fine, but not quite as I had expected

Cheap and incomplete
Firstly, as another reviewer mentioned, my kit only came with one tube. Part of the problem is the kit, part is Magura's current design -- the use of an unthreaded syringe wedged into place at the lever to pull and push fluid through the system is inherently flawed, IMHO. It popped out several times as I pushed on the feed end at the caliper. Both ends should take threaded inserts. I tried twice and the result was pretty bad. I've done perhaps 6 or 8 bleeds of the old Marta and my Hopes with good success. This is my first failure -- punting and taking to the bike shop tomorrow. The pro kit might be better but I'll probably never find out.

CONS: Poor Quality

This kit is complete for Magura brakes!
So I originally didn't order the bleed kit when I got new Magura brakes. I got air in them after cutting the hoses and the brakes were pure sponge. It took me a while to figure out how this kit works because it appears to be lacking and I was also worried from the comments made by other reviewers. The truth is that the videos are incorrect on bleeding.
It only takes the syringe full of fluid connected to the caliper.
Do not open the screw on the lever.
Hold the caliper straight up in the air after you remove it from the bike.
Angle the lever so the hose is vertical and begin to pull it in and release.
The bubbles will automatically go up into the fluid full syringe.
It takes a lot of lever pulls to get all the air to go all the way up.
Don't forget to put the pad spacer in the caliper first or the caliper will squeeze closed.
Remember to remove your pads first because oil will get on them.
The brakes will appear to be spongy after bleeding the air out until you remove the syringe and put the bleed screw back in. This method works and my brakes work insane now.
The key to success: do not open the brake lever bleed screw like the video shows or you will get air right in there. There is no need to push the oil as the video shows. Holding the caliper up high lets all the air go straight up and out and no oil is lost.
I made a huge mess trying to bleed the oil from the caliper to the lever. I'll save you the stress.
This kit works.

Basics to do the task
My bike needed a different adapter for the top for it to work well. It says in the instructions that the manufacturer "recommends the pro kit". What?

Go with the Pro
Took forever to arrive, make sure you are getting the right fittings for your model of Magura brakes, and go with the larger bottle of mineral oil (eventually you will need it anyway).

PROS: Relatively inexpensive, Easy to Use

CONS: Go With The Pro Kit

Works Like a Charm
Bleeding my Magura MT4's is made easy with this kit when I shortened the hoses to fit my bike. The kit does not come with much fluid so I bought an extra small bottle just in case, but now I think it would not be necessary unless you are changing out the fluid in the system due to it being old or something.

I did end up using a different syringe that I had on hand to use on the lever side (without plunger) as I like the fit better.

PROS: Convenient, Easy to use
