The MT8 is Maguras new top of the line super-lightweight hydraulic brake system that weighs just over 200 grams! The lever is constructed using Maguras Carbotecture SL technology which uses a new type of Carbolay process. Excellent heat dissipation is acheived through an open design and large surface area of the one-piece aluminum caliper body.
The MT8 also features many of Maguras evolutionary technologies such as anti-squeal, anti-drag, anti-heat, and the use of "Royal Blood" mineral oil.

The MT8 in my opinion is the best blend on weigth and power of any of the brakes currently on the market (XTR is a close second). They obviously are pricey but amazing.

I used this product as the single brake (185mm rotor) in a high speed racing recumbent. That recumbent made repeated short distance stop from 50+ mph over and over again during sprint racing; Other bikes on the same stop were sliding through due to brake fade with other brands. they also held up to use and abuse on 2.5 hour 30+ mph endurance races with no fade or change to the modulation. All this with on average a 175lb rider and a 50lb bike. This helped us bring home (all in one piece thanks to this dude) first and second place at each competition respectively.
