Mavic sketched up the blueprint for the Mavic Crossmax XL Pro with the erratic ways of Enduro in the forefront of their minds, ensuring they meet the demands of serious Enduro riders who rely on dynamic performance to maximize the fun factor, both uphill and downhill. Tenaciously built to endure the abuse of aggressive descending, the Crossmax XL remains light enough in all the right places to get you on up those relentless climbs in a timely manner.

Bowing up a 23mm wide rim with Mavic's Fore drilling, the Crossmax XL provides an extremely rigid ride to maximize power transfer and reduce fatigue stress, while allowing up to a 2.5 tire. Amongst the variable terrain that is Enduro racing, optimal traction and control is required, which is exactly what the Crossmax XL was designed to deliver. The UST ready rim profile not only enables a lower tire pressure, but it also improves handling, bite and comfort, whilst reducing inertia and flats. These inertia reduction properties are shared with Mavic's Inter Spoke Milling process to produce a lighter rim that remains as rigid, removing the sluggishness and replacing it with extra muscle for climbing.

Working seamlessly with the UST ready Crossmax XL Pro rims are the UST ready Crossmax Charge and Quest Tires that utilize Mavic's Crossmax Quest and Guard+ tire technology to further enhance grip and keep rolling resistance at bay, without expensing durability. Guard+ is a high density layer that reinforces the tire casing for puncture protection and a suppler ride.

Weighing in at 1780 grams for the wheel tire system pair, the Crossmax XL weighs less than the Crossmax Enduro 27.5/650b. With the ITS-4 alloy freehub, the Crossmax XL Pro is compatible with all types of frame retention systems (9/15/20 up front and 9/12x135/142 rear), and is able to run 11 speed.
